Fall Stroll

blog_fallstroll

I met up with Plurk friend Caney Hambleton today for a little fall stroll on my residential sim Sunshine Mist.  It was nice to enjoy the new fall scenery, as well as show off our new autumn attire from Coldlogic.  I love this time of the year in Second Life because the fashion is always my favorite. So many cute things for cooler weather. I wish you all a happy autumn season! Thank you again Caney for being apart of my blog today!

Look At That Body

blog_lookatthatbody

I am one of the lucky few who get a chance to show you all a teaser of the new Belleza mesh body.  I have been lusting after Shyla’s flickr for weeks and weeks as she shows off teaser shots of this revolutionary creation.

I say revolutionary, because the mesh bodies have really made a huge difference in Second Life for both realism, help with editing photos (I seriously save so much time editing when wearing one of these amazing creations), etc… I have been a huge fan of the SLink physique body for a while now, and I would say I love both it, and the new Belleza equally so.  They are both pristine quality, have gorgeous curves and smoothness, and each bring on their own unique character to their bodies.  I used my liquify tool very minimally on this image, when normally I would have to liquify ever nook and cranny of my body. The body is perfection. Absolute perfection.

I can tell you so far that the Belleza body is coming very soon. (Rumor has it, sometime this week), and that it will be compatible with your SLink hands & feet, applier friendly, and so much more.  I’m currently wearing the body with my Belleza Grace skin.  I wish I could give you all more details, but they are beta testing with the bloggers for any technicalities before sending it off to you wonderful folks. They are using and abusing us. (You can tell I had to be talked into it eh?).  I’m excited to bring you all more information soon as I find out more about this great soon to be release!

Pssst…the hair is from Truth!

Lonely Dancer

blog_lonelydancer

So today on plurk (sorry mine is private, but feel free to add me!) we did this silly, introspective, yet relatively light hearted meme called “How Do You See Me?”. Most everyone who participated did it anonymously so that people could leave comments and such. I was pretty impressed that nearly everything said on mine was either positive, incredibly sweet, or honest & constructive.  I think the most negative thing someone said was “Sometimes you annoy me.” and quite frankly, sometimes I annoy myself, so I was really not offended.

One thing the little exercise made me realize though was that I am notoriously bad about keeping to myself and not opening up to people. I kind of spend most my time alone on my platform, or with a few small select people in world. A person or two even commented saying that I’m one of the “cool kids” on plurk, and I had to laugh, because if they knew me, they’d know that quite honestly I’m alone most of the time, unless a Bean event is taking place.

Maybe I should learn to branch out more. Broaden my horizons. Not be afraid to open up in Second Life again, and meet new people, and socialize more. I think because I’ve been burned in the past, I’ve just learned to throw walls up that I need to learn to break down.

So here is my invitation to you. Reach out to me. Get to know me. Help me to be better about getting to know others in the community. That was the sole reason I started The Bean in the first place. Was to meet people around the world.

It’s just ironic that someone who owns a venue, and spend so much time on social networks, is honestly often times, alone.

Electric Avenue

blog_electricavenue

I had a whole lot of fun doing this post! I know that the next few months will be filled to the brim with neutrals, oranges, toned down hues, and autumn colors, so to be able to finish up summertime with bright, electric colors, is really fun & energetic!

This month’s round at Collabor88 is Miami Electric, and will feature lots of bright hues, and lively pieces of apparel & home and garden items. I’ve seen some sneak peeks, and you will all be pulling out your wallets and shopping relentlessly!

Aside from the ridiculously sexy outfit from Baiastice, I must comment also on this great hair, and my stellar shoes. The bow on this hair really makes my entire outfit standout. I think Clawtooth hit the ball out of the park with this one! These heels from Fri.day bring everything together. I wish I could wear sky high heels like this in my real life. How can you not feel sexy rocking these?

I thought this owl necklace from Cae, was a great addition to this entire ensemble. It’s an item at this current round of FaMESHed.  It also comes with a cute pair of earrings. Both items are HUD based and can be changed to lots of different color gemstones, and a few metal options. I really appreciate jewelry designers who do HUD based work. It’s more cost effective for the consumer to have an item that can be matched to various ensembles, and takes up less space in our inventories. It’s a kind & efficient gesture from jewelers that oftentimes goes unnoticed and unappreciated. I certainly appreciate it when they do it!

I feel absolutely cute & electric today, and i’m so glad I had a chance to show you all! I hope your weekend has been wonderful.
