So two of my most favorite people in Second Life (Cate Footman & Jessyca Teardrop) have recently joined forces to bring us a brand new venue in Second Life called !ndustry. This adult oriented, urban style club will combine live music, good people, a great environment, and so much more.  What more could you ask for really? I recommend joining their group so you can get information on all the great events to come. I am so proud of all they have accomplished, and cannot wait to see this place succeed and thrive! We need more quality hang outs in Second Life, and this is a step in the right direction!

The Arcade is once again around the corner, and I’m pleased to see that Ingenue will be a part of it once again. Betty Doyle is one of my favorite creators in Second Life, and is also one of the sweetest! I never get an opportunity to showcase her items enough, so today I’m showing off her beautiful Jaclyn heels. This gacha will come with Belleza, and Slink versions, which is wonderful! Of course it will also be offered in a multitude of colors, so play that machine until you win every hue!

Another store that I’ve followed since nearly the beginning is Lacuna, and they have recently released this beautiful & incredibly sexy halter dress. I love the way this fits and moves with my body! It comes in a variety of hues, but the black was most definitely my favorite!

Lots of new goodies! I hope you get a chance to wander the grid and find all of them! If you are seeing this before this evening, stop by !ndustry for an awesome DJed opening party! Jessyca Teardrop will be dropping the beat, and it’s bound to be a GREAT time!

Avatars for Animals: The Catnip Carnival Fund Results

First, and foremost I want to send a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this event.  Thank you to the designers for their hard work, talents and dedication.  Thank you to the bloggers who took the time to promote the event, and thank you of course to the consumers who spent so many lindens supporting a wonderful cause.

The shelter was absolutely blown away by the final total.  Would you like to know what that final total was?

1,739.24 USD.

We also received a cash donation of 100 dollars personally/directly from SL residents veaudeau & bl1ndmag.  This brought our final total to 1,839.24, and the 100 dollars was given to the shelter manager directly in person by myself. Thank you kindly for the additional donation you two!

Isn’t that incredible?  Every single penny will go to such an amazing cause, and help change the lives of so many wonderful, needy animals.

I wanted to make sure I provided you all with very specific screenshots detailing every single detail of the process of transferring the funds from Second Life, to Paypal, and then to the shelter.  I did not want any confusion or discrepancy, and I wanted everyone to see clearly where the funds appropriately went. I think, especially in a virtual world like Second Life, it is incredibly important to provide the community with clear proof that the funds have gone to their appropriate venue.  If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact me.  I can also put you in contact with a shelter representative if you want even further proof.  I do hope, that this will be enough!  Please understand, I have blacked out my own personal real life information, as to keep my personal real life private.  I tried to keep as much public as possible.

Step 1: This was the final item purchase at the event.  I made sure to note dates, etc, so everything is chronological.  Truth was kind enough to put his item out at his store as well, which helped generate a boost in funds! Thank you Mr. Hawks!

Step 2: I then emptied my own personal lindens into my PixelBean business account. Yes…a whopping 145 lindens.  I wanted to show clear proof that there was no mixup between my own lindens, and the fund lindens.  I was not fond about putting the final total on my own personal account, but due to transfer limitations I was forced to transfer everything to my own account to transfer out of Second Life and into paypal.  Harlow’s account had zero lindens, and I then transferred the total funds from Avatars4Animals to Harlow Heslop.

Step 3: I then immediately offered to sell the lindens. I chose the quickest option rate I could, as to make sure the funds were transferred promptly and there was little delay.

Step 4: Here is my LindeX order summary confirmation.

Step 5: Here is the second screenshot for the confirmation.

Step 6: I then processed the credit to my own personal Paypal account. I have blocked my real life email address here.

Step 7:  Here are the transaction details. Again, I have blocked out RL personal data.

Step 8: After a few days the funds finally showed up in my own personal PayPal account.  You know the RL information blocking stuff by now… ;)

Step 9: I then put all the information in to transfer the funds to the RCHS paypal account.  I found the link via their official website.

Step 10: Here is the confirmation page to transfer the funds.

Step 11: Hooray the funds have made it to the shelter’s paypal! Here’s the confirmation.

Step 12: Here is the final balance shot of my own personal paypal account. Just a final confirmation for you all that the funds did go to the appropriate place.

I know this is overly detailed, and seems a bit (or a lot!) overkill but I wanted to make sure I was very clear on fund transparency as I promised.  If anyone is still skeptical or uncertain I’m very happy to take an additional step and receive a paper receipt from the shelter staff, and can also provide contact info to speak with the shelter directly for anyone who feels the need to take it that far!

Thank you again for all the support you have shown Avatars for Animals first event, The Catnip Carnival.  I am very optimistic about other events taking place in the future!
