Childhood Flashback

I had a blast doing this pic today!  So many awesome items at this round of Collabor88 that are bringing back all sorts of fantastic childhood flashbacks!

I remember in the 90′s wearing spaghetti strap dresses with t shirts underneath. Tres Blah did a fantastic job with this, and it makes me kind of wish this style was coming back!  I also remember having all sorts of items that had peace signs covering them. Maxi Gossamer is making me want to pull out my old shoe boxes filled with old childhood treasures.  I remember also when I was in school having to hide my digital pocket pets so that my teachers couldn’t see me feeding or playing with them! These Intrigue Co. Pixel Pets are a great item to pick up.  This pose from Elephante Poses worked perfectly for showing off my toys!

Entertainment Center

Bringing you a very quick post this morning to let you know that Collabor88 has kicked off for this month and it’s such a throwback to my childhood! The 90′s! I am absolutely loving everything that’s coming out for this round.  Every piece is a quick trip down memory lane.

Take for instance this 90′s entertainment center from Alouette.  All the details on this are so fun, and I love all the creative titles on the CDs and VHS tapes! I remember as a kid watching so many of the movies that inspired these hilarious names…and listening to the bands as well! Alouette is quickly becoming one of my favorite stores on the grid, and it’s a store that just increases with skill and talent with every new release.

I am sure to be bringing you more coverage of this month’s Collabor88 . There are just so many fun items I’m excited to share with you!

High Fidelity

Recently I had heard that Linden Lab CEO and Founder of Second Life Philip Rosedale, and a team of other talented technology loving individuals had come together to start a new company called High Fidelity.  I’ll be honest, I’m still in the exploring/learning role as I educate myself more about what Mr. Rosedale and his intriguing team have to offer.

I don’t know much yet, but I wanted to share with you what small bit of information I do know. By what I’m reading, it sounds as if a new, and impressive virtual world is in the making!  They’ve broken their official website’s main page down into categories to briefly explain what goals they have in mind with this new virtual world.

I dunno about you, but I am tremendously excited to see what Mr. Rosedale and his team have to offer.  I have been a dedicated member of Second Life for many years, and I am incredibly grateful for what was started within Linden Lab, and I personally think Mr. Rosedale (and those working beside him of course) has what it takes to bring the next successful ideas in virtual environments to the internet.

One think that really piqued my interest as I was looking over their webpage was on their company information page.  It appears that Linden Lab, as well as Google sees promise in what High Fidelity has to offer, as they have become investors in the company and it’s ideas.

Anyhow, like I said, I am not very educated in everything regarding High Fidelity just yet, and I have a lot to learn, but I wanted to at least share what has caught my eye, and how excited I am to see it progress.  You can do what i’m doing, and follow their blog closely to see what news they have to offer about their upcoming, and hopeful virtual world. I am really enjoying reading about all their avatar testing, as well as a sound blog entry that caught my interest as well.  Seriously listen to that youtube clip with your headphones on. It’s INCREDIBLE.

I’m craving sand between my toes, an ocean breeze, and sun on my face.  Since I can’t exactly get those things in my real life right now, I figured i’d at the very least bring it to my virtual life.
