Princess of the Sea

Just recently Miss Strawberry Singh posted a beautiful photograph on her blog that caught my attention. I love the little bokeh/sparkly details on the photograph, and was determined to play around with the idea myself.  Thanks Berry for the inspiration for this photograph!  I headed over to PicMonkey.com and played around with some of the free special effects until I was happy with the end result!  I encourage you to stop by the website and play around with all the fun filters they have to offer. Their collage tools are also quite nice.

I had a lot of fun playing around with a combination of this PXL skin & Clawtooth hair.  Both can be found at this round of Collabor88.  I felt like a mermaid when I was setting up for the pic.  I love the combination of the blue’s and greens together.

To round out the look I paired it with my absolute favorite eye maker, Insufferable Dastard, and a pose that can also be found at Collabor88 this month from Marukin.

The Noble Storybook

I love discovering new places in Second Life, so when I was invited to check out The Noble Storybook sim I was extremely excited.  The Beatrix Potter themed sim is brimming with life around every turn and corner.  A beautiful lake, a small cottage, a forest filled with adventure and so much more await you when you visit the sim.

Also, near the beach is a lovely little cafe called Nobles Cafe.  There you can find a great place to curl up and relax with friends, a lover, or just find some good old fashioned “me time!”.

I encourage you to stop by The Noble Storybook sim and check out everything is has to offer. Stop by the ice cream stand and grab a cone on the beach.  Travel around the sparkling lake, or even check out the hot air balloon parked on the sim!  The adventures are nearly endless.  Make sure though, on your visit to be respectful to the family home property, as well as follow the rules they have posted when you first land on the sim!

Tulips

Good morning and Happy Monday everyone!

I think this outfit has been one of my most simple & favorite outfits I’ve thrown together.  I feel so classic and feminine in it.  Mon Tissu just recently had a handful of beautiful releases.  This dress was one of the releases, and my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks to plurk, I’ve recently come across another blog to add to my blog feed. Miss Nana Minuet has darling style, and her photography is fantastic. She was recently wearing hair from Tram in one of her posts, and I just new I had to snatch it up.  I don’t wear short styles often, but this has become an instant favorite.  I did add a few little “wisps” in later in photoshop btw…just in case you go and snatch the hair up and wonder where those are!

Comfort & Cats

I really would love to start doing more home and garden posts.  Maybe I’m getting tired of seeing my same old boring face all the time?  I’m sure the rest of you are too.  Don’t get me wrong, most my posts will still be avatar related, but I would like to mix it up more and throw in more home and garden ones.

I’m scrambling to do this blog post before the webpages go down again! For some reason the last day or two I have not been able to access my blog! I can access any other webpage, and everyone else seems to be able to access my blog…but me! It’s absolutely frustrating!  Everyone on my Plurk was immensely helpful though in trying to figure out what the cause was. (They also put up with my incredibly GRUMPY mood!)  Magically, it started working on it’s own this morning! Silly technology!

I wanted to do one of Strawberry Singh’s Meme’s  this morning but since I’m scrambling to get this blog entry up before work, it will have to wait!

Needless to say, I had a lot of fun doing this photograph.  I’ve felt very blah lately about my blog work, and it was fun to try something new and different.  It’s amazing what you can achieve with a little brush work.  Have a great Thursday everyone!
