One of my favorite stores on the grid for many years has been Rebourne Prefabs. Over the years I’ve owned countless Rebourne products and homes, and it’s quite an honor to have a chance to show you all their newest creation.
The Lake House is a 100% mesh creation that comes in either a skybox or ground version. It has many spacious rooms, a garage, outdoor living space, and more. There are three levels to this expansive retreat, the top level being a great attic space for recreation, additional living or bedroom space, etc. My favorite features in this house include the exquisite lighting, the mix of modern luxury and rustic design, and the countless areas for outdoor entertaining and relaxation.
You can stop by Rebourne Prefab’s mainstore location to see a model of the home, as well as their countless other top notch designs.

Mesh heads are currently all the rage on the grid. Countless designers have released top quality, realistic heads for you to choose from. I’m sure I’ve said it previously, but I’ve always been pretty hesitant and pessimistic about mesh heads in Second Life. I was convinced that there was no originality when you wore a mesh head. That you would just look like another plastic doll. A clone of every other woman on the grid. My feelings began to shift when Lelutka started releasing their line of beautiful mesh heads. I really began to warm up to the idea of wearing a mesh head more often. Now that skin designers are beginning to release skin appliers for the Lelutka mesh heads, my feelings are becoming even more warm and fuzzy. Let’s do some comparing shall we?
This skin applier in the first image above is from League. The Milla mesh head applier comes in all of the standard League skin tones, has countless eye makeup options, and a variety of lipstick hues as well. My absolute favorite thing about this applier is the freckles! I was dying to see some freckles for these mesh heads, and immediately made a decision to purchase this set solely on the freckles alone (although the rest of the skin is stunning as well, which made my decision quite easy!).
This pretty skin above is the Avril applier from Glam Affair. This applier is for purchase at May’s round of Shiny Shabby. This skin, also comes with a variety of eye makeup and lipstick options. The only thing it’s missing for me personally is the freckles, and I know Aida Ewing makes some gorgeous freckles for many of her skins. Hopefully in the near future she will be releasing freckle appliers as well! I love the vibrant palette on this skin. It’s more for a night on the town, when I feel the League one suits every day, casual use & attire.
The biggest point I wanted to make with this post, was to show how dynamically different the two skins are, on the exact same head. I am using Lelutka’s Stella head in both these images. I think I look like two completely different people, which is fantastic. This really goes to show that as appliers continue to come out for these heads, and mesh head creators continue to make more styles of heads (Heeeey Lelutka, we totally would love to see more of these mesh beauties!), we will all continue to be our own unique individual selves.
So make sure to first stop by Lelutka and try out the heads, and when you’ve found one you love… start going skin applier crazy!
Hair in both of these posts comes from Truth by Truth Hawks.
